Rain god figurine
Rain god figurine, greenstone, height 9.5 cms., Mexica/Aztec, n.d., Templo Mayor Museum, Mexico City
Small greenstone figures represent the rain god Tlaloc. Most of the objects, flowers and animals sacrificed in this ‘offend’ were dedicated to this deity.
