9-link gold necklace, Mixtec-Mexica/Aztec, c. 1350-1521 CE, width 20 cms., Ministerie van de Vlaamse Gemeenschap, Collectie Paul en Dora Janssen-Arts, MAS, Antwerp
These elements of a necklace show small, mask-like faces. All elements are made using the lost-wax technique and are therefore identical. The necklace is made in Mixtec style.
