Here is our growing Mexican Mask and Head Collection. Use these images to inspire your ceramic and other crafts based on Mexican/Aztec mask motifs. With many thanks to the many photographers who have contributed images to enrich this gallery - see our Credits Page for more details. There is evidence aplenty for the use of masks in pre-Columbian Mexico: here (above) is a drawing from the Codex Borbonicus showing spectators wearing masks during the Mexica New Fire Ceremony. Look out for other sources of Mexican mask pictures/ideas on our site (e.g., in our Resources pages)...

Hi, my son is doing a project on Pre-Columbian Aztec masks. He is in 3rd grade and needs to make 4 masks that represent that time. Any ideas? Trying to look for Red and Yellow masks from that time but cant find any. Thank you!
