Besides from the [’death’] whistles, warriors were buried with their weapons, and others with the tools of their trade. They were also buried with obsidian blades, to be used as knives; still today, in a great many Indigenous communities, men are often buried with their machetes, so they can protect themselves on the journey to the underworld and can continue working in the afterlife...
Español: Además de los silbatos, se enterraban con sus armas si eran guerreros, y si no, pues con los instrumentos de trabajo. También se les enterraban con obsidianas esto era para ser usado como cuchillos, y hoy en día en una gran cantidad de comunidades indígenas actuales, a los hombres se les entierra con sus machetes, esto para que trabaje como lo hizo en vida, y además sirve para defenderse de los peligros que pueda haber en la otra vida.
