Statue from Tamazula

Shannon Cantu writes: ‘I stumbled across your website while doing research on a statue that has been in our family for roughly 70 years. This statue was dug up in the mountains of Tamazula, Mexico. It is quite interesting and peculiar. It does not have a face of man, it has six fingers and six toes on each extremity. It has a hollow belly when shaken something inside rolls around. I would love to send pictures for more information. I have tried numerous auction houses in the Chicagoland area around where I live. Not one place wants to deal with this type of art. I just want some history so our family can know what exactly this is. Thank you...’
